Tangler is a sports prediction game published by Gilder Games LLC. It is currently in closed testing. This policy covers the Tangler app and this website.
What we collect
- Your email address and password, so you can sign in. Passwords are stored hashed by our authentication provider; we never see them.
- A display name you choose, shown to other players in your crews.
- What you do in the game — the guesses you make, the Gilder you win or lose, and the crews you belong to.
- Basic diagnostics — crash reports and error logs that tell us the app broke and roughly where.
We do not collect your location, your contacts, or anything from other apps, and Tangler contains no advertising or third-party tracking SDKs.
How we use it
To run the game: authenticate you, settle guesses, show standings inside your crews, and fix the app when it breaks. During closed testing we may also email you about the beta itself. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
Who else sees it
Service providers that host the app on our behalf — currently Supabase (database and authentication), Expo (app builds and delivery), and Sentry (crash reporting). They process data for us, under their own security terms, and for no other purpose. Other players see only your display name and your play within crews you join.
No real money
Gilder is play currency with no cash value. It cannot be bought, cashed out, or transferred, and Tangler is not gambling.
Keeping and deleting it
We keep your account data while your account exists. Write to support@gilder.com and we will delete your account and its data. Because closed-testing data is routinely wiped, treat anything in the beta as impermanent.
Children
Tangler is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has signed up, tell us and we will remove the account.
Changes
We will update this page when the app changes, and change the date at the top. Continuing to use Tangler after a change means you accept it.
